How can a data commons change how we understand and use data in Aotearoa New Zealand, and help solve some of our pressing social and environmental challenges? In our private and public lives we generate valuable data every moment of the day. Learn how a commons based approach to open data can help us share and use data more effectively, and help to inform systems level decision making and empower citizens to take control of their own data.

Billy is an Industrial Designer by training (B.Des Vic), and an Educator by profession (M.Ed, Massey). He is a social entrepreneur who brings a unique set of skills and perspectives to every project he gets involved with. He is a Director of the Enspiral Foundation and is on the board of a number of other companies and trusts. Billy is currently help lead the development of a Data Commons in Aotearoa New Zealand.
