Sam Ng leads a startup tasked with re-inventing day to day banking. Supported by Kiwibank, the startup is imagining radical new ways to improve how we manage, use and get money so that Kiwis and New Zealand as a whole will benefit.
Prior to his work at Kiwibank, Sam co-founded Optimal Experience (now part of PriceWaterHouseCoopers Digital) and Optimal Workshop, a provider of user experience software. He also has a second life in social ventures and international development, having worked with the United Nations on human trafficking, co-founding the Hong Kong based charity The Mekong Club, experimenting with educational tech in developing countries through Grit Learning, working for impact investment fund Uberis Capital and managing a multi-million dollar US government funded technology for social innovation project in Cambodia.
Mostly however, he’s a passionate father and husband who prefers being outdoors in the Nelson region where he lives.
